Online price offer request system

Our online price offer request system gives the possibility for the users to ask for an offer, product information directly from the manufacturer. In our system, users are able to choose the product they need an information about. The request for the offer will be sent to an email address the manufacturer gave to help building direct connection.

Node database

In our node database users can search installation and structural nodes based on detailed drawings which makes clear rules for designers and constructors. Search is supported with preview drawings so the users can find more efficiently the interesting installation details.

Designers are expected to be more and more specific when giving information and also during the design. Expectations are not only coming from the investors but from builders as well. Only good quality, CAD software compatible BIM objects can meet these expectations and the main interest of the development is always the manufacturers’.

With our expert advice we are always happy to help when declaring the aspects and creating the development concept. Éptár, in the past 15 years has, has released more than 10 000 products for ArchiCAD and other software such as Revit, pCon.planner or 3DS.

Assessment of needs, shaping of a concept for the function of BIM objects:

We can model the possible function with the help of our available solutions during the coordination with the manufacturer. We model the functionality of the object according to the notion of the manufacturer during the creation of the development concept, but we also take into account the user needs and the special qualities of architectural softwares known to us. As such, we get user friendly and easy to handle BIM objects as an end product.

BIM software development

The name Éptár was created back in 2002 by ArchiData Kft. Back then our company was making BIM solutions for Archicad and other CAD software for 5 years already.

In 2006 Éptár was separated from ArchiData Kft. and started to develop exclusively GDL content and Add-ons. In the last 12 years our company developed more than 50 solutions and over 200 GDL library.

Our goal is to develop useful solutions for CAD users to support the design process.

Add-on programming or GDL library

In the program Archicad, our main profile, two complementary solutions can be made: GDL libraries or Add-on solutions. Our team is ready to do both kinds of development. Our GDL programmers and API developers are waiting for challenges.

The question of which solution we recommend is in all cases reliant on the to be modeled objects and the excpected complexity of the solution.

If the modeled products are more like placeable objects by themselves which have no connection to one another, or have only limited connections then usually the creation of a GDL library is the solution. GDL objects like our doors and windows libraries or our furniture and sanitery libraries.

More complicated product solutions, working with a particular logic or requiring the coordination of several details will usually require an add-on solution. With the help of an add-on we can excpect more complex functionalities from the BIM object. Good examples of this would be our roofing applications. These tile the given roof surface and allocate the necessary extras like roof foil and snow shields automatically, keeping in mind the rules of roof tiling. Allowing for fast and high quality work in the usual software.

Reinforcement Solution for Archicad

This library was developed to support Civil engineers, who want to work with Archicad. The application helps to model the reinforcement bars in 2D and 3D as well. After the rebar placement, users can simply collect rebar items, optimise the ID numbers and create cutting lists.

Architerra

ArchiTerra is the solution for Archicad users to create and manage 3D terrain models.
It is a useful tool especially if you need to work with large sites, allowing the insertion of other elements such as roads, plateaus, buildings and others.

ArchiCAD solution for room tiling. Users can define tile types, sizes and listing parameters. 2D drawings and 3D model definition are created in one easy step.

SIMO GROUP

This solution give a very nice solution to create glass partition walls with the products of SIMO GROUP in Archicad Drawing and models. Many parameters for the created SIMO construction can be set and applied. This solution let for designer to design, create technical drawings, build a nice, detailed model even for rendering.

St. Gobain – Rigips

This solution contains the products produced and distributed by Saint-Gobain Hungary Kft Rigips division.
The application includes all items and systems necessary for designing partition systems. With the help of this, from planning application documents to the final construction drawing along with the bill of quantities, a consignation can be done in the end. The solution, unlike previous similar solutions not only provides an opportunity to determine the cladding, but also to develop the structures located behind it.

Aliplast opening and curtain
wall library and configurator

This unique opening library was created for the manufacturer of aluminium profiles, Aliplast.

Detailed objects represent the Aliplast doors, windows and curtain walls. The most singular feature is the complex window and curtain wall configurator object, which lets users create unusual window and curtain, in a few simple steps.

Kilab - Laboratory furniture library

We made this library for ARKTIS AG. The whole product range of Kilab - a manufacturer dedicated to making laboratory furniture - is included in the product library. The library consists of more than 300 products, enabling users to create the complete furnishing for laboratories.

ForaForm office furniture

We made this library for ForaForm. They wanted a GDL library which looks well in Archicad, but contains the full intelligence of GDL and low polygon numbers. The library contains more than 50 objects and represents more than 450 products.

This library is also available for Revit users on the ForaForm website.

Schiedel Chimney System
This is a solution for a one step chimney calculation. The application available in Archicad and online (GDL Webcontrol) as well. The solution was created for 7 languages in Eastern Europe.

The library contains all the components that are used in MevaDec Slab Formwork system, enabling users to assemble realistic formwork for slabs.

Applications in an online enviroment

Applications run with an internet browser or browser supplements. These applications can be downloaded or used via the internet by the wider audience. This way, product information can reach the broadest user crowd, making them known in a wider circle, meaning they can be perfectly used as a marketing tool as well.

Creating software independent applications

It is possible to create configurational or editing programs independent of architectural designing programs. We developed these applications for professionals who don't necessarily use CAD or BIM systems. In many cases these solutions were built into the manufacturer's post factum sales system.

Operation and functions of the Roof Tiling solutions developed by Éptár

Éptár has been developing Roof Tiling solutions for Archicad for about 20 years. This add-on fills a gap in Archicad that the core software itself is not able to create or solve. In addition, these solutions are tied to specific products, such as Bramac, Wienerberger-Tondach, Terran, and swissporTON.

These solutions are integrated into Archicad, can be launched from the Archicad menu, and are based on the Archicad model. Their use always requires the creation of a 3D model, or at least the construction of the 3D roof structure.

The engine of the Roof Tiling add-on reads all geometric data from the given roof and stores it. Based on these data, from a clear and well-structured user interface, the selected tile type, roofing membrane, snow guard, and other accessory elements can be placed over the entire roof surface with a single click.

The placed tiles can be displayed either with high-resolution, realistic tile textures or as real 3D elements. The display mode is handled globally by the program and can be set in the Document - Model View - Model View Options menu. Accordingly, either textures or 3D tiles are applied throughout the entire project.

The program naturally also handles ridge, hip ridge, and valley constructions correctly. The placed tiles can be modified later, and additional accessories can also be added afterwards, such as roof walkways, roof access hatches, chimney flashings, etc. and leaves those If openings or penetrations are defined in the roof surface, the program takes them into account during tile placement areas free.

A material takeoff can also be generated from the placed tiles, and this list can be created in several ways. In most cases—since these are product-specific solutions—the program uses individually developed list formats to generate the required material quantities. The takeoff not only calculates the displayed materials, but also all additional accessories considered necessary by the manufacturer, such as membranes, fixing elements, insect meshes, nails, screws, and so on.

Roofs created with the Roof Tiling add-on are excellently suited for both technical drawings and visualizations. Both the textured and the 3D representations depict the tiles and their accessories realistically within the Archicad building model.
